Media Contact: Maggie Crane
ST. LOUIS – GlobalSTL, an initiative of BioSTL, is showcasing the St. Louis region’s thriving healthcare and startup ecosystem by connecting top Israeli and Irish companies that specialize in healthcare innovation with local hospital systems, corporations, and investors to advance patient care and cultivate continued economic growth.
GlobalSTL has identified 13 Israeli and Irish companies, plus one U.S. company with ties to St. Louis, to present their compelling, high-value technology to our local healthcare systems and corporations during its inaugural GlobalSTL Health Innovation Summit June 28, 2017.
GlobalSTL hand-selected companies based on their proven track records and ability to immediately enter the U.S market. In addition, they are companies with high-growth potential, laden with the talent and technology to leverage the buying power of the St. Louis region to fuel their growth.
The invitation-only delegation of 14 companies will tour health innovation centers in St. Louis before pitching their technologies to decision-makers from local hospitals and businesses, as well as a cadre of venture capitalists looking to invest in new technologies.
The goal is to establish three wins: (1) a win for the St. Louis company accessing cutting-edge technology to boost competitive advantage; (2) a win for the international company by gaining access to prized customers and strategic partners in the United States; and (3) leveraging the first two wins to convince these international companies to open a U.S. headquarters in St. Louis, thus creating jobs and bringing economic activity into the ecosystem.
